OUR CRAFT
STUDIO is inspired by the famous paintings by impressionist painter Claude Monet.
This piece is inspired by the painting 'Impression, Sunrise', created in 1872. This work is known for having given its name to the Impressionist movement, due to a critic who claimed that the painting was more of an "impression" than a detailed scene. The painting depicts the port of Le Havre in France on a foggy morning, with boats and masts emerging from the mist. Monet captured the atmosphere and ephemeral light of the scene quickly and loosely, using very visible brushstrokes. Just as Monet portrayed the ethereal atmosphere of 'Impression, Sunrise,' our piece captures that same sense of beauty through the shades of green and the white texture, evoking the mist that surrounds the port of Le Havre.
